Sometimes when I enter the website it asks me for username and password. But in the who is login field I can see my name. If I enter my username and password it does not login and asks info in a cycle.
This is apparently an ongoing problem, and one which I have had a lot of trouble myself. Clearing your cookies appears to be the only way to fix it ... unless someone has more information?

last I heard, admins wern't sure what the issue was
I was just locked out for days due to this bug. Finally cleared my cookies and that fixed it for now.
can't remember how to clear cookies. I've seen this frustration myself sometimes.
yeah, the site is buggy as hell. Just run ccleaner and you should be fine. It's been this way forever. Still a mystery why the admin gods haven't fixed it. If it's any indication of the ...... never mind. Probably won't be fixed.
I've been able just to close my browser and reopen it, but that is most likely because of my settings.
I only have to do it once, then I can go.
I've never cleared my cookies for this anyway.
If it matters, anyone can make settings so you don't keep cookies. That might help?

Clearing my cookies has made no difference in my case. I have not found any reliable way to stop this behavior. Seems random almost.
Try clearing your cache. Warning: it's a pain because it logs you out of all your sites.
I to have been having the same issue. I would try to log in and see my user name listed but the site says I am not logged in. Sometimes clearing out the cookies helps but other times I can't log in at all. Does anyone know if changing the password can help?
I don't believe so.
It just happened again. All I have to do is delete the cookie called "zonebbs".
I finally was able to log in again after a week of trying. What do I need to do to not keep cookies? I saw on eh post above that you can change the setting for this. I feel like I need to stay logged in all the time now.
